Barn Cake Decorating

This
is really easy... purchase 2 or 3 pound cakes (depending
on what height your looking for). Place a pound
cake on a serving tray making sure to leave room for
the silo later. Frost a thin layer of white frosting
tinted to barn read (color chart on back of food coloring
box) then top with second pound cake (repeat if you
are adding the 3rd cake).
Next... slice of the long edges of the top layer like the picture and frost the cake barn red except for the roof, frost it brown. Top the roof with almond slivers or graham crackers. To make the silo, secure layers of sandwich cookies on top of each other with a small amount of frosting. Frost with the barn red and then top with a chocolate marshmallow pinwheel cookie. Use a writing tip or tube frosting to create the barn door and loft window and yellow tinted coconut for the hay. NOTE: We suggest not serving with the live chick for health reasons! LOL (laughing out loud - for those that don't know what LOL means). |
